Loose leash walking, polite greetings, sits, downs and stays, a little bit of heeling and some tricks for fun! Did you know, not only does teaching your dog obedience skills make your daily life easier, it gives their brain much needed exercise which is just as important as getting a good run! Just like we need to challenge ourselves to feel satisfied in life, many dogs go stir-crazy if all they do is sit on the couch or take a quick turn around the block.
Most breeds of dogs were bred for generations to do specific jobs, and now they’re living the happy pet life, their ready-to-work minds are itching for something to do. If we don’t fulfil that need – they’ll find a way to do it themselves, often at the expensive of your garden, home and furnishings!
One on one obedience training sessions are available for adolescent and adult dogs of all skill levels, at $70 per 45-60min session here at Taggerty, or at your own home (travel is charged at approximately $1.33 per km).
