Whether your dog’s a cuddle-buddy, working dog, sports prospect, hunting companion or all of the above, sometimes you’ll need to walk him or her on leash from A to B. And those walks should be pleasant, not a battlefield!
This is a specialised group class for dogs of all ages and skill levels to learn to walk happily on a loose leash in the presence of other people, dogs, livestock and even vehicles.
We will be walking 1.5km (flat) during the class, so sensible shoes are essential. You may put your dog in a flat collar, martingale collar, harness or halti, but check chains, prong collars and shock collars are not permitted. You must use a 4-6’ (1.2-1.8m) static leash (no bungee or retractable leashes). And be sure to bring a pocket full of your dog’s favourite treats!
Classes will begin on 27 April and take place every Sunday at 4pm in Taggerty. The cost is $20 per class, and pre-booking is essential to reserve your spot.
